Ekadashi is the most important day in Sanatan Dharma. The day is devoted to worship Lord Vishnu. On this specific day, devotees worship Lord Shri Hari and offer their sincere prayers to him to seek his blessings. Ekadashi occurs twice a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. There are 24 Ekadashi observances in a year and each Ekadashi has unique name, meaning and story. According to Drik Panchang, Yogini Ekadashi fast will be observed on 11th day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha. Yogini Ekadashi 2026: Significance

Ekadashi is one of the most significant days in Hindu religion and the day is purely dedicated to honor Lord Vishnu. On this particular day, devotees worship Shri Hari by observing fast, performing various puja rituals associated with the Lord. They present different offerings to seek the blessings of Lord Shri Hari. This is the most important day for spiritual purification and a large number of devotees utilize this day to grow spiritually and enhance their positive aura. They chant various Lord Vishnu mantras to seek his blessings, perform hawan, get engaged in religious practices, get into donation and charity. Other than this they maintain the celibacy even in their thoughts during fasting period. The day is considered powerful to get relieved from all types of past committed sins and people get rid of the cycle of birth and death and they get sacred place in Vaikuntha Dham after death.

Yogini Ekadashi 2026: Puja Vidhi

1. One should get up in the morning and clean the home after waking up during Brahma Muhurat. 2. Then devotees must take a holy bath before beginning the puja rituals3. People should take bath from normal water and they are advised to avoid using bath soap and body wash. 4. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu, light a diya with desi ghee, offer flowers or a garland, apply tilak, and present fruits and sweets to begin the puja procedures.5. Devotees should recite “Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye” throughout the day. Also, they can chant Shri Krishna Maha Mantra mentioned below. 6. They should keep their minds clean, stressfree, sattvik and make sure that their meals don’t contain any tamasic food.
