Kamika Ekadashi 2026: Significance
Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious days in Hindu religion. The day is considered trul sacred for performing puja to Lord Vishnu as the day is purely dedicated to Shri Hari Vishnu. Devotees observe fast starting from Ekadashi tithi and the fast ends on Dwadashi tithi. Devotees seek Lord Vishnu’s blessings by offering their sincere prayers and showing gratitude to him. This fast is believed to remove all the past transgressions and sins you have committed knowingly or unknowingly.
Kamika Ekadashi 2026: Puja Rituals
On this auspicious day, devotees wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu on a wooden plank along with Shre yantra, adorn the idol with garland or flowers, and apply haldi tilak on the forehead of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Offer fruits, Tulsi Patra, and other offerings. Recite the Ekadashi Vrat Katha and chant Vishnu mantras to summon the statue.Offer prayers to Lord Vishnu once again in the evening, recite the aarti, offer bhog prasad and people who are unable to bear the hunger can eat sattvik food recommended for the fast and then finally they can break their fast next day on dwadashi tithi during parana time.
